Quarter deck beams complete

The Quarter Deck is the uppermost deck of the ship and surrounds the aft deck house. The vertical support posts and beams were installed using traditional timber frame techniques. While seemingly simple the curves of the ship make the joinery of these pieces more difficult. The aft deck house is not a simple square like common shelter. The walls are curved from side to side and tilted from top to bottom. Likewise with the surrounding quarter deck each piece is different and reflects the curvature of the ships hull.
